Evelyn Husband Thompson

Evelyn Husband Thompson of Houston is the author of High Calling: The Courageous Life and Faith of Space Shuttle Commander Rick Husband, a moving tribute to her late spouse whom commanded STS-107. She is a noted speaker who travels throughout the USA sharing her story of triumph over tragedy and finding hope in the midst of painful and challenging trials. She is a board member of the Fathers in the Field, a mentoring ministry for fatherless boys, and is nominated to join the Astronaut Memorial Foundation Board of Directors. In addition, she is a leader with Bible Study Fellowship and volunteers at her church.

Husband Thompson received a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Texas Tech University.
