Gary
Pituch joined AMF in January 2006 as the Manager of
Facilities and Security. Mr. Pituch brings an extensive
background in Facility Maintenance, Repair, and Management
to the Astronauts Memorial Foundation.
Mr.
Pituch’s career encompasses over 25 years of military and
private sector experience. He started as a residential
construction worker prior to joining the United States Air
Force in 1979. In the military he trained as a Heating
Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician and made
his way through the ranks while taking on more diverse roles
as his career progressed. He has successfully supervised
HVAC shops with over 30 employees, a high pressure steam
heating plant at Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott
Air Force Base, and a prime power and chilled water plant
for Southwest Air Defense Command serving the country’s
early warning ballistic missile defense system at March Air
Force Base. Mr. Pituch was also selected to be a member of
the Air Force’s Extended Training program where he was the
Civil Engineering liaison to the Egyptian Air Force
Commander at Abu Suywer Air Base. Most recently, he was a
Contract Manager for a local company that provided facility
maintenance and repair programs for the Department of State,
the Federal Courts and the General Service Administration.
Mr.
Pituch is responsible for facilities operation, maintenance
and security for all facilities owned by the Astronauts
Memorial Foundation, including the Center for Space
Education, the Space Mirror Memorial and the Technical
Training Center.
