Michael Williams, President & Owner
of M.H. Williams Construction Group, Inc was born in Chicago,
Illinois in 1953. Shortly after, his family moved to Ft.
Lauderdale and he’s been a Florida resident ever since. Mike
attended Northeast High School in Ft. Lauderdale before
attending THE University of Florida in Gainesville. Although he
graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and
continued on to become a licensed Professional Engineer in the
State of Florida, he pursued a career in Construction.
Mike’s first job after college
brought him back down to South Florida where he was a Field
Engineer for Intercounty Construction, an industrial contractor.
Then in 1982, he joined the firm of Stinson-Head, Inc., a
commercial general contractor headquartered in Boca Raton. The
company offered Mike an opportunity to move to Melbourne and
open a satellite office. Mike built the Brevard County office
into a profitable operation. But when Stinson-Head decided to
concentrate all of its resources on a South Florida construction
boom, Mike and his wife, Theresa, decided to remain in
Melbourne. M. H. Williams Construction, Inc. was founded in May
of 1987.
As hard as Mike has worked on his
career, he is also deeply committed to giving back to the
community. Currently, he is an Executive Board member of the
Economic Development Commission of the Space Coast and Vice
President of the Melbourne Police Athletic League (PAL). He is
also a Board member of the Florida Institute of Technology
College of Business, Boards of Overseers and Construction
Industry Advisory Board; member of Young Life Committee; and a
Deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Satellite Beach. Honors
Mike is very proud of are the Melbourne-Palm Bay Chamber of
Commerce Small Business of the Year award for 1995 and Junior
Achievement Business Hall of Fame Laureate 2006.
