Daniel R. Pearson is group president
of Harris’ Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD).
GCSD develops and produces advanced communications and
information systems for the Department of Defense and other
government agencies and their prime contractors.
GCSD is comprised of three main
business units. The Defense Programs business unit provides
communications systems, networks, and products for military
aerospace, terrestrial, and maritime applications. The National
Programs business unit supports primarily space and intelligence
community programs for the U.S. Government. The Civil Programs
business unit, which includes Homeland Security (HLS)
initiatives, develops and produces advanced communications and
information systems for federal and civilian agencies of the
U.S. Government and their prime contractors.
Most recently, Mr. Pearson was group
president of Harris’ Defense Communications and Electronics
business unit. Prior to that he was president of the company’s
Department of Defense Programs business unit. Before being named
president of Network Support Division in 2000, he served as vice
president and general manager of Strategic Management and
Business Development for GCSD. Mr. Pearson joined Harris in
1977.
Mr. Pearson holds a B.S.E.E. from
the University of Pittsburgh.
He is a member of the Air Force
Association (AFA), the Armed Forces Communications and
Electronics Association (AFCEA), the National Defense
Industrial Association (NDIA), the Security Affairs Support
Association, and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
